ALM for foundations

The balance sheet, projected ten years ahead

For those who govern an endowment with a mission — disburse, preserve, endure — the real question is not "how much does it return": it is "what can happen". Our ALM answers with the distribution of possible futures: assets, disbursements and reserves projected over ten years, with their probabilities.

The service

Not a statement: a balance-sheet simulation

The model works on two levels. First the assets: every security in the endowment receives a risk and credit profile — with an AI-reconstructed rating where no official one exists, always on a conservative basis — and the portfolio is simulated over thousands of scenarios.

Then the whole balance sheet: reserves, institutional disbursements, provisions and statutory constraints enter the simulation, and out come the quantities that matter to those who govern — from net assets to sustainable disbursements — projected year by year with their probability bands.

The synthesis is made for the board: dashboards that read at a glance, with attention thresholds, and a commentary in plain language. The commentary is AI-generated and validated by people before entering the document: no unverified text reaches a governing body.

How we work

Guided data, reproducible results

Data onboarding is guided: the input file is validated before any computation, and anomalies are explained in plain words — rows to double-check, suspicious values, inconsistencies — so corrections are made once. Until the input is certified, computations do not start: it is a guarantee, not a rigidity.

Every run is dated, tracked and reproducible. The service is delivered in partnership with YouTrust & Partners SA, a Swiss financial advisory firm based in Lugano, and draws on a collaboration agreement with Ca' Foscari University of Venice. The operating perimeter — who uploads, who validates, who receives — is defined by contract.

FAQ

Questions & answers

Who is the ALM service for?

Foundations and institutions with a mission-driven endowment: entities that must sustain disbursements over time while preserving capital, and that answer to a governing body.

What does it actually produce?

A ten-year projection of the balance-sheet quantities — assets, disbursements, reserves — over thousands of scenarios, with threshold-based summary dashboards, a technical appendix and a plain-language commentary validated by people.

Who delivers the service?

It is delivered in partnership with YouTrust & Partners SA, a Swiss financial advisory firm based in Lugano, which manages the relationship with the institutions; Redexe provides the computing platform and the analyses. The methodology also draws on a collaboration agreement with Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

What is the AI's role?

Two roles, both bounded: reconstructing the credit profile of securities when no official rating exists, on a conservative basis with cited sources; and drafting the summary commentary, which is always validated by a person before delivery.

Is this investment advice?

No: it is a software and data-processing service — measurement and projection — supporting the decisions of the governing body. Redexe does not provide investment advice: allocation choices remain with the institution and its licensed professionals.
